Honor confirms return to Indian smartphone market

Honor announces partnership with PSAV Global for return in India

Read Time:57 Second

Honor confirmed its return to the Indian market last week, and today, the brand announced a key partnership that will help the company quickly expand its presence in the country.

The cooperation is with PSAV Global – a local firm that offers a widespread network of over 5,000 retailers and distributors that span more than 100 cities. The partner will also provide marketing, services, and distribution solutions to Honor.

The announcement came from HonorTech, Honor’s brand in India, and promised its customers “advanced, reliable, and self-centric solutions and experiences”. The collaboration is aligned with the push from the government of India for “technological self-sufficiency” and will be a significant milestone in this direction.

In short, PSAV Global will do a lot of the field work for Honor as until it sets up its local operations. The company will help import devices, take care of distribution channels and warehouse storage, deal with marketing promotions, and offer warranty and repair services.

This leaves the HonorTech team, with Madhav Sheth as CEO, to deal with the bigger picture, such as corporate strategy, overseeing product launches, finances and customer relations.
