It looks like Nio’s upcoming smartphone is right on track to be released this month as it was officially confirmed for September 21 announcement. It was just listed on the China Ministry of Industry and Information Technology website with a regulatory filing.
The filing outlines a couple of changes made to the initial version of the phone that include exterior changes, software tweaks, calling options and it also reveals two storage options – 16GB/512GB and 16GB/1TB. And unfortunately, that’s all we got from the listing at this point. Photos of the handset should appear soon enough on the MIIT website, though.
Previous leaks suggest a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC behind the wheel, 100W fast charging and possibly a smartwatch down the road as well.
