Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra expected with an upgraded 200MP main sensor

Another day, another Galaxy S24 Ultra leak. The tip comes from the notorious Ice Universe on X and suggests that the Galaxy S24 Ultra will offer an upgraded 200MP main camera. The new shooter will likely be the 200MP ISOCELL HP25X – an upgraded version of the current ISOCELL HP2.

The new sensor will retain the 1/1.3″ size, of the current one. An advanced Super Quad Phase Detection autofocus is on the list of features along with native 4-in-1 and 16-in-1 pixel binning, which means 50MP and 12MP photos, respectively.

Interestingly, the S24 Ultra is expected to bring a new and improved 3x telephoto camera as well. It’s rumored to be a 50MP shooter, 1/2.52″ in size with 0.7µm pixels. That’s a big jump in sensor size and it will likely significantly boost image quality.
